Partner, Director of Business Advisory
Robert is a Chartered Professional Accountant who has worked in public accounting for over 10 years and has been practicing public accounting in his own firm since 2008.
Patrick Sweeney | CPA, CA
Partner, Director of Accounting Services
Patrick Sweeney is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He has worked in Public Accounting and with Gauvreau since 2011.
Tyler Powers | CPA
Partner, Director of Taxation Services
Tyler graduated from Western University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies, Specialization in Finance and Administration. He received a Western Scholarship of Distinction and graduated on the Dean’s Honour list as a result of exemplary academic achievement. Tyler received his CPA designation in 2017.
Jeff Fitzgerald
Partner, Director of Legal Services
Jeff completed his undergrad at the University of Victoria and his law degree at Western University. Jeff's practice primarily focuses on corporate and commercial law, real estate law, and estate planning. More specifically, his team is able to assist with the sale or acquisition of real estate and business assets, establishing and reorganizing corporations, as well as estate and succession planning for business owners.

Patrick became a partner at Gauvreau & Associates in January of 2017 and is responsible for managing the accounting, assurance and taxation engagements for many of the businesses and individuals who are clients with the firm.
Patrick graduated from Dalhousie University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Commerce, major in Accounting where he achieved Academic All-Canadian honours as a student varsity athlete having displayed exemplary academic performance while also a member of the men’s varsity hockey team.
Outside of Public Accounting, Patrick is an active member of the Peterborough community continuing to pursue his passion for sports, and in particular hockey. Patrick has been involved as a board member and coach with the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association since 2012, Otonabee Minor Hockey Association since 2020 and was the former president of the Peterborough Girls Hockey Association. He is also a member of the Men's Golf Committee at the Peterborough Golf & Country Club.
Outside of Public Accounting, Tyler is heavily involved in the community as the past – Chief Financial Officer for the Peterborough PC Association, a current board member with the YES Shelter, delivering Christmas hampers for the Salvation Army and as a Cabinet Member on the United Way of Peterborough’s 2016 and 2017 Campaigns.

Kathryn joined our firm as the Marketing Manager in 2020 after 8 years of working at a Branding & Advertising agency where she led the Content & Media Department as the Advertising & Brand Strategist.
Kathryn graduated from Centennial College’s Advertising & Marketing Program in 2014. She received the NewAd Media Scholarship for her academic achievements and the Dean’s Award for achieving the highest GPA in her graduating class.
Hannah joined our firm as the Director of Operations and Human Resources in 2020 after working in various roles for Bank of Montreal’s Capital Markets, Corporate and Wealth Management businesses.
Hannah returns to Peterborough where she graduated from Trent University in 2012 with a BA in Cultural Studies.
Hannah enjoys giving back to the community, particularly in the interest of children. She volunteers with SickKids for three years and had recently joined the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sister Peterborough.

Lisa graduated from Trent University’s Bachelor of Business Administration program in 2017 with a specialization in accounting. She graduated on the President’s and Dean’s Honour Rolls and received the Lady Eaton College Fellows’ Prize in recognition of academic excellence during her university career.
Lisa started her career at Gauvreau as a Junior Accountant in October 2018 and earned her CPA designation in May 2021. Lisa’s focus as an accounting manager is to provide corporate accounting, assurance and taxation services.
Shelley has 14 years experience in public accounting and has been with us since its inception in 2008. Shelley’s primary role is to manage the bookkeeping, payroll and government remittance filing requirements. She also assists with the facilitation of monthly and annual financial reporting requirements for the booking department.
Shelley was born and raised in the greater Peterborough community and spends her time away from the office volunteering at her kids school and volunteering at organ donation awareness events located across North America.
